Default Guy Glancing Back

A guy glancing back

Software: GIMP
Hardware: Wacom Intuos3
Time: 35-45 minutes

Practicing human figures. It still looks jagged and busy. Need to find out how to get the 'flow' right.

After the night's sleep - it looks royally messed up.

NO need for a paint over Vy. His face is quite beautiful. I ran him through Liquify and shrunk his neck.

Yeah, thats looks much better.

I'm sorry Vyoma, I did not want to sound evil - if i did. I to think the face and color pallet is beautiful. The face have a very good emotional expression.

If i would have to guess what he is doing, i would say he have just passed a beautiful girl on the street, and is quickly looking after her, in hope she might do the same.

Perhaps the painting could be named "Stolen looks"

Yay Dreleen - you alway have that magic touch that transforms an artwork.

PS: Did not know that GIF could store the image in that high quality.

Hey lv8pv - no hard feelings at all. We put these paintings we do here, to be ripped apart by critique. And I am always glad when the critique comes from people here - because you all indulge in this medium. These critiques have more value than some random person talking about our works - and that helps us learn.

I like that title. May be I will churn out few more of these speed painting studies, and then work on an actual full size artwork.
