OK, for this workshop, we're going to be looking at doing skin in a realistic manner. We all know what skin looks like. We see it every day. But do we we really SEE it? We'll look at doing anatomical studies here - a finger, a hand, a nose, that sort of thing. I suggest looking at high quality pics, looking at how colours bounce off skin, the translucence of skin...
Here are some good reference pics to get you started. http://dragyourstock.deviantart.com/...Sheet-39448619 - hands in many different poses http://ahrum-stock.deviantart.com/ar...ure-3-52258384 - beautifully lit skin http://morf-stock.deviantart.com/art/feet-46035024 http://-aoe-eternia.deviantart.com/a...Stock-47259632 - more interestingly-lit stock http://lilbittydemon-stock.deviantar...t/T-I-39826795 http://della-stock.deviantart.com/ar...-Lips-30942066 - impeccable lighting, and some very interesting highlights http://a-handy-stock.deviantart.com/...Hands-48391743 - now that's just awesome! http://bobbistock.deviantart.com/art...ock-3-61462718 - more feet. I think I might be looking at feet - something I've not actually tried yet. |
