Great study Steve!

This is actually the first time when I have seen the white highlights work out so well. I guess it all depends on what the background is - would the highlights be true white or would they be affected by ambient light (which is again dependent on the background color)?

The original background was white (terrible photo of a generic looking apple) but I did my best. I'm gonna try for more studies involving less white light.

Must say i like this. You have rendered a nice depth in the skin of the apple. Probably could have added a little bit more red into the skin to give it even more depth. But this is far better then i could do so I'm probably just guessing =)
