Hey davincio, thanks.
But don't worry about 'level'. You are as good as me (can see it in the phoenix and metal hawk). But of course, both of us can get better. :)

Yes you are improving.
And yes of course. I want to work out a bit more on the archer line art - the head and the feet. I will post the line art for you all to use. :)

Hey! Thanks ID Conceptart.
Why I made the character more detailed than the background?
Actually, I am experimenting with composition. By giving more detail to some part of the composition, I am trying to draw the eye of the viewer to where I want the focus. Not sure if I have achieved what I want - been watching it for too long that I have grown numb. :)

Never tried it before but in my opinion I think it would be better to put the same amount of detail in the whole picture, but to blur the part(s) of the image that are not (that) intresting so that the focus is at the point which it is all about.
Tho I've never tried it but I think it gives it more like a photo (real) effect which is very nice I think.
It also makes the picture to be more one, cause if you detail the character more than the background it's not one image anymore..
at least that's how I see it in your work that you show in this topic.
Also you could try to highlight the parts that you want the ppl to focus on. thats something I've used myself
good luck!
and remember isn't not bad, but I just want to help ;)
