colored version of phoenix

i think it isn't complete yet so if anyone can give me some adjustments or some good advise

Excellent. The one with background looks so professional.

Now for the critiques - :)

You notice the area of the body? It looks too flat even with the gradient. You could render it a bit with subtle color changes to depict the contour of the body and wings.
Also, you can give faint hints of the feather in the wings and body - do not put in full detail - just few hints with colors that are different wee-bit.

Note that I have worked on the body only - you can do similar work on the wings too.

I just added subtle details, and some stark hightlights to give the body of the phoenix. Also, the gave some volume for the tail.
